The K. C. Recreation Department provides a summer camp that includes social, recreational, and educational activities for physically and mentally disabled children living in Kershaw County.

Some 75 campers shared two weeks of playing, learning and friendship at Camp Sun Fun at the Kershaw County Recreation Department. The camp ended on a high note with a cookout. Representatives of United Way of Kershaw County, which provide funding for the camp, joined the campers on the final day.
