Be a Bunny 2019

Easter Egg Baskets
United Way conference room filled with 300 Easter Egg Baskets

United Way conducts Be A Bunny program for the 18th year

The United Way Be A Bunny program enlists people from our community to fill Easter baskets for individuals representing three United Way agencies, the Council on Aging, First Steps, Family Resource Center and the Board of Disabilities and Special Needs, and 233 children from the Kershaw County School District.

An unbelievable amount of thought and care goes into putting together the 300 Easter baskets. In a time where we are constantly fed negative information about our fellow man, this is such an uplifting program because the gifts are truly from the heart. The men and women that fill these baskets genuinely care about others. They will never meet the recipient of their efforts but with love they reach out to total strangers.

Participants include employees from Canfor Southern Pines, Cardinal Health, Cogsdill Tool, Ahlstrom, Carter Terry Inc., Dana, DSV Solutions, Haier, Hengst, INVISTA, Junior Welfare League, Kawashima, KershawHealth, Mundy, Oak Mitsui, Palmetto GBA, Suominen, Target Distribution Center and Weylchem.
